Engr Gbolahan Awonusi is President of Octragon Multi-Projects Limited (www.octragon.com,) a Project Development Company, specializing in key sectors of the Nigerian economy with focus on promoting entrepreneurship in Nigeria. One of the key members of the Group is Octramarket Mobile Services Limited (www.octramarket.com), an e-commerce platform modelled as the largest network of all indigenous markets in Lagos, Nigeria, where any product can be purchased at the prevailing least market prices. Currently with over 6,500 indigenous online vendors selling all products across over 120 Lagos markets. 

Prior to this, he worked as a Project Coordinator/Research Analyst at Alpine Investment Services Ltd., a project finance company, where he was active in the deal structuring of an over N11bn shopping mall project in Kano. He has been involved in various real estate developments, markets redevelopment, and management for more than a decade

His areas of expertise include financial modeling, business planning. He understands land acquisition & transfer dynamics, especially in Lagos. He is passionate about MSME development and has a strong intergovernmental relationship in Nigeria.

In 2012, he took part in the FGN/YouWin 2012 Business Plan Competition and won the Presidential Award and was hosted by the Presidency with a grant to pilot a community development project for Bariga, Lagos, Nigeria. His vast experience in land acquisition was derived from his ability to acquire over 22 sites (aggregating to over 9hectares) of land in the most difficult parts of Lagos for an approximately $1Bn transport infrastructure project.

Engr Awonusi is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos, and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He bagged a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Pan African University. He has completed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Program. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration & Management from the University of Roehampton, UK.  

He is married and blessed with 6 children.
